I've been doing a cake decorating course, and these were my first attempt at cupcakes with the piped swirl and decorations on top (all edible), for my niece's 1st birthday.

My first ever piped cake done in week 2 of 4 at Millys.

My final cake (week 4 of 4). Looks good from the top, but the sides aren't too hot.

Summer Twenty10

Where to start... we've had a very busy/fun summer... from camping at Waikawau in the Coromdandel, to Tiritiri Matangi Island, to mum and dad learning to shoot a rifle at the range, to Arataki, to Joel catching his first fish, and finally to Easter Weekend where we've been enjoying the Waitakeres and have explored the Whatipu Caves and spent the day out at Bethalls with cousins. We're able to get out and about more with the kids now, so we're having lots of adventures!
